La mia feltro-mania è iniziata da una fetta di torta... tutta colpa della Joan, che in una seratina che doveva essere dedicata ad altro (ora non ricordo) tira fuori un sacchetto con feltro colorato, aghi, imbottitura e perline.. armeggia tra i suoi modelli e via.. si inizia a tagliare, cucire (come si puo'... si nota dalla foto) e, non con poca fatica, sforniamo la nostra tortina.
Questa è la mia primissima creazione... qui inizia il club delle CraftyGals. :-)

Ah... che bello è passeggiare di notte a -12°C... un lungo week end di solo riposo. E shopping. E caffè non proprio buono (deve essere l'acqua visto che ho testato tutti i bar, in tutti gli anni e in tutti i periodi dell'anno....) Una cena fantastica al mio ristorante preferito (MALGA CES) e una bella gita su su su al rifugio Tognola. Tantissime foto e un brag-book digitale preparato e stampato in loco.    :-)
Non ci vuole poi tanto per 'ricaricare un po' le pile'

 

Invece di andare in palestra ieri sera, con Joan e alice ci siamo trovate con bottoni e filo di ferro, caffe' e cioccolata ... per fare una Button-Fairy. Ci vuole santa pazienza, quindi non sara' il mio forte... e infatti la mia alza anche gli occhi al cielo...  ;-)

Ed eccomi con le mie prime bamboline :-) considerato che sono le primissime sono prprio soddisfatta.

Amore a prima vista... lo so, lo sento! Piccole creature/creazioni dolci, fatte a mano, col cuore ago e filo, da scambiare, regalare e coccolare! Mamma mia... sto entrando nella "voragine della dipendenza"

OK, as promised here is a little tutorial on how to make my little art /therapy dolls! The most important ingredient in making these is f...u....n... and l...o....v...e...

I figure if you are having fun when you are making them and put love into them you will create something beautiful. It is very hard to be depressed when you hold one of these in your hand!

First you need to cut out 2 shapes the same size for the body. I don't use a pattern so find that my dolls vary in shape and size. Then you need to cut out a little felt face to fit.
Place the blank face onto the front of the fabric you want to use for the front.

Then sew on a little face. It doesn't matter if her eyes, nose and eyes are a bit wonky. Just adds to her charm!!
Sew the front and back together. Leaving the top open.

Turn inside out. This can sometimes be a bit tricky with the little felt face on the inside but I found it didn't take too long to get used to doing it!!!
Yay, she is becoming a little person now and is ready to be stuffed!
I usually use cotton wool to stuff my dolls as it is nice and soft. Leaving the stuffing a bit thinner at the top.
Turn the edge of the top fabric over and sew to the felt.
This is what the doll looks like from the back.
There will be a little bit of felt over hanging the top edge.
Trim this felt so the top edge is nice and neat.
Sew beads, buttons etc for her hair (I use what ever I have on hand).
Then embellish her body (you can do this before sewing the front and back of her body together if you want to). This is the finished beading on the bottom.
If you want to hang your art doll you will need to make a loop of beads.

I find if you make the loop at the top of the doll approximately the same size as the one at the bottom it works well. Makes the little doll balanced (you didn't realise it was so technical did you ? he heh).

Make sure you sew the loop very securely to the back of the doll. Voila!!! - your little doll is ready to be hung, or to leave on a journey to someone else's home!

TWILIGHT, NEW MOON ed ECLIPSE che ho "mangiato" di un fiato.... e come la protagonista sono vittima della figura bellissima del vampiro buono, bellissimo, galante, forte ed invincibile ma romantico e che non si nutre di sangue umano per scelta e che per amore affronta di tutto e di piu'....
Aspetto con ansia il quarto libro che dovrebbe chiudere la serie, aspetto anche il film (per vedere la faccia dell'attore scelto...) per piangere un altro pochino ;)
